BLUE MEN ON RAW CANVAS

here i'm experimenting with "blue men" on raw canvas, stripped down to more earthy tones, and near-white. almost no blue left at all.

i've noticed the lighter a blue man becomes in my head, the more accommodating he feels: closer to home, closer to being welcomed, closer to being loved. these two are about as light as they get. barely blue anymore. which might be the whole point.
